I can recollect when Jazz was a suspect subject at the University... Prior to Musician's Institute... Before Dick Grove... Before North Texas State... there was BERKLEE. I hold the school, workforce, and educational module to the most elevated standard. I started recording harmonies while working through William Leavitt's MODERN METHOD FOR GUITAR with a qualified instructor.
(RECCOMMENDED)! I was wanting to discover a supplement to bolster my list, and Levitt's three volume tome. THIS ISN'T IT.
Properly evaluated, this book is 36 pages of harmonies in a 6x9 soft cover, with documentation, TAB, and harmony squares. Some fundamental voicings, and some forgot. No cattle rustler harmonies. No rhythms. One (of four) reversals every string set for instance. No insolence to Mr. Peckham- not an exhaustive study, nor proposed to be. It would be useful to see a page or two to choose whether or not its for you.
